Jack and Millie got married at Aldinga Secret Garden on a summer afternoon in December, surrounded by around 80 of their favourite people. Before the wedding, they gave me three words for how they wanted it to feel: meaningful, fun and candid. Pretty much my favourite kind of wedding to photograph.
Tucked into Old Aldinga on the Fleurieu Peninsula, the garden was such a lovely place for them to spend the day together.
Jack and Millie were married beneath the garden arch, then walked straight into a shower of confetti. Just married, everyone celebrating around them, and a little bit of happy chaos. I love those photos so much.
The Secret Garden is full of little corners and beautiful big trees. Jack and Millie wanted to use as much of it as possible for their photos, along with plenty of portraits with their family and wedding party. It’s one of those places where you can duck away for a few photos among the greenery and still be close to everyone.
For the reception, they chose pizza, limoncello shots and speeches from the people closest to them, with their first dance later in the evening. It all had that relaxed garden party feel they’d wanted from the start.
